We will never be the biggest but our aim is to be the best, we will be boutique and bespoke and you will benefit from our experience.

We are ready to help you and invite you to be part of our family.

TASA Code of Professional Conduct Determination 2024

As a Tax Agent, our work for you is performed in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. Under this Act, the Tax Agents Services Determination 2024 requires that we make the following disclosures to you. The necessity of this disclosure is a result of a new legislative instrument proposed to take effect from 1 August 2024, in some regards this is retrospective:

1. We are required to disclose to you matters that could significantly influence your decision to engage, or continue to engage us for a Tax Agents Service from 1 July 2022 onward including the following:

  • We are a small firm with two Accountants, and one part time
Bookkeeper/Accounting Technician and One Administrative Assistant, and
as such our capacity to accept new engagements with high priority and to
significantly extend the scope of existing engagements is limited.

2. If you have a complaint about our Tax Services, firstly contact us on admin@owenaccounting.com.au. We will provide you with written acknowledgment within seven (7) days of receipt.  Within 30 days from the receipt of your complaint, our director will investigate the circumstances  surrounding the complaint and advise you of the steps we have taken to resolve it.

If you are unhappy with the outcome that we propose to you, you can make a
complaint to the Tax Practitioners Board [TPB] using the link listed above. The TPB will send you an email to acknowledge receipt of your complaint and review and risk assess your complaint. If you are unhappy with how the TPB has dealt with your complaint, the above link includes details about your review rights and who can further assist you.
